2025 in review: commercial energy decisions got more deliberate

← Back to Blog

As 2025 comes to a close, one thing stands out. Progress in commercial energy is becoming more deliberate and more informed.

Throughout the year, we have seen organisations move beyond asking whether solar works and focus instead on how well it fits into long-term planning.

Themes that kept repeating

  • A stronger focus on resilience and cost certainty
  • Continued growth in solar and storage across commercial sites
  • Better use of monitoring and performance review
  • More engineering-led decision making
  • Clearer ESG reporting grounded in measured data

The numbers are starting to speak for themselves

From a commercial perspective, we are regularly seeing internal rates of return above 30%, alongside levelised energy costs as low as 4 pence per kilowatt hour, compared with grid prices that were often 20 pence or more before installation.

In simple terms, this is energy cost hedging: harvesting a predictable, perennial source of power and locking in future pricing.

Thank you to every organisation we worked with this year. Progress rarely feels dramatic. It simply builds.

Here is to clear thinking and steady results in 2026.
